BJJ Black Belt – Ken O’Shaughnessy

Ken O’Shaughnessy is originally from Dublin, Ireland and moved to Manchester in 2006.

He started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2008 to improve his fitness, lose weight and meet new people who shared his interest in MMA and BJJ. Ken was promoted to Black belt in December 2018 and is the third person to be promoted to black belt by head coach third degree black belt Steve Campbell.

Ken teaches the early morning classes, fundamentals classes and the kids program at Stealth BJJ and is most likely the first person any new student will see once they come through the door for the first time.

He has competed multiple times at each belt level, winning Gold at the 2014 IBJJF London BJJ Open and getting bronze at the 2015 IBJJF European BJJ Championships.

He has produced World, European and National Champions and medalists, as well as local competition medalists.

Ken is a full time coach and offers 121 and group lessons. These lessons are helpful for all levels and are a great opportunity to make some corrective adjustments to help your game. If you are completely new to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Ken can teach the fundamentals course through 121 lessons. This is especially helpful for those that can’t find the time to attend the group classes at Stealth or if someone would like to build up their confidence before attending the group classes.
